Dr. Oz

If you recognize Dr. Oz's name it is probably because you watch Oprah. He is a frequent guest and responsible for making poop a socially acceptable topic of conversation, along with flatulence and other various bodily functions. Dr. Oz and his colleague, Dr. Michael Roizen, have written several books. Among them:
YOU: The Owner's Manual
YOU: The Smart Patient
YOU: On A Diet

I recently purchased and read "YOU: On A Diet". I started the diet on Saturday Jan. 27th. That means I am almost one week in and I must say I am not in the least hungary.

The book is pretty interesting, it describes your entire digestive system and goes through the effect of trans fats, for example, on your liver and other parts of your digestive system. It also mentions that, at the age of 50, if you are 40 to 100 pounds overweight your health risk are as bad as if you had breast or prostrate cancer. Blubber kills!!!

Drs. Roizen and Oz say the number to be aware of is your waist size. For men the number is 35 inches, for women it is 32.5 inches. They state that after two weeks on the diet it is possible to lose 2 inches off your waist and 4 to 5 pounds. I am not intending to bore anyone with daily diet updates but I will let you know what happens after two weeks. Wish me luck!! My waist desperatly needs it!!

Wednesday night on my table I had a man sit down and hand in his players card. After looking at his name, which is T.C. Tibbets, I asked him if he had a famous relative....that wasn't my exact question, but close enough. He said yes, his Uncle Paul. If anyone is interested in finding out who his uncle Paul is, I suggest you google his name.
