MORE OF THE SAME

THE WEATHER AT HOME IN IOWA/WISCONSIN IS ZERO, DAM THAT'S COLD, AND I HOPE YOU ARE ALL STAYING WARM SOMEHOW. IN TWO WEEKS THE WEATHER HERE WILL RETURN TO "SUNNY & 80" AND WINTER WILL BE OVER, BY OUR STANDARDS SUMMER WEATHER WILL BE BACK! WHEN I PAID THE RENT YESTERDAY OUR LP GAS BILL WAS $76.85 FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY. THE SOUTHWEST HAS BEEN COLDER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS.
THE BLOG NUMBERS FOR JANUARY WERE THE SAME AS DECEMBER WITH AN AVERAGE OF 15 READERS A DAY, AND OUR ADVERTISING INCOME AT $1.44. OUR CAREERS AS WRITERS ARE STILL IN DOUBT, BUT WE WILL CONTINUE TO PRACTICE ON YOU FAITHFUL READERS. WRITING EVERYDAY IS KINDA LIKE PUBLISHING A DAILY NEWSPAPER, AND SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED "FILLERS", THAT WOULD BE THE MOHAVE VALLEY SERIES. THERE ARE ABOUT THREE ENTRIES LEFT IN THE SERIES. I WONDER HOW TEACHERS HANDLE THE PROBLEM OF PLAGIARISM TODAY IN SCHOOLS WITH THE INTERNET? I'VE PLAGIARIZED AT LEAST 40 DIFFERENT STORIES AND SITES WRITING THE MOHAVE VALLEY SERIES, HOW WOULD A TEACHER BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH THAT? WE'VE MADE A COUPLE INTERNET MOVES IN FEBRUARY TO INCREASE READERSHIP, SO I'M SURE THE FEBRUARY NUMBERS WILL BE LOOKING UP.
THE LAST TWO DAYS "OFF" WERE A LITTLE BORING. WE DID MAKE OUR MONTHLY TRIP TO CALIFORNIA TO BUY OUR LOTTO TICKETS, AND ACTUALLY WON $1 ON A $16 BET. THE ROADTRIP BACK HAD US BELLIED UP TO THE BAR AT HOOCH'S IN GOLDEN SHORES. MARY MADE THE WEEKLY RUN TO THE LAUGHLIN LIBRARY AND SUPER WALMART, I SKIPPED THE TRIP.
WE HAD HANS AND WENDY TALKED INTO A WEEK-END VISIT THIS MONTH, BUT WHEN THEY WENT TO BOOK THE FLIGHT, THEY WERE FULL. NEXT YEAR WHEN GRANDMA IS HERE WE WILL MOVE ON THAT PROJECT EARLIER. ALSO IN PREPARATION FOR GRANDMA'S WINTER VISIT NEXT YEAR WE LOCATED A SHORT GOLF COURSE THAT OFFERS A $95 PASS FOR UNLIMITED GOLFING FOR A MONTH, AND A DAYS INN AT NEEDLES. GRANDMA IS DUE INTO PANAMA CITY AND AMY'S ON TUESDAY.

ENJOY THE SUPER BOWL AND YOUR SUPER BOWL PARTY!
