Morel Mushrooms

Rex and Mary spent part of their Wisconsin vacation time hunting the elusive morel mushroom.  Their timing was correct but mother nature was late with spring by about a month.  A week after they left, Hannah showed up at our house with a nice collection someone had work had given her......

......after a rinse, they were cut up for frying........

     .....but they sure went down easy!!  mmmmmmmm!

  .....there are a few ways to make them, but I prefer fried in butter and served with brown gravy over pasta or potatoes....
