5 K WALK FOR CANCER

TODAY I WENT TO A 5K WALK FOR CANCER IN LAUGHLIN.

THE WALKED STARTED IN PYAMID CANYON ALONG THE COLORADO RIVER AT THE BASE OF DAVIS DAM.

THERE WERE ABOUT 300 TO 400 WALKERS AND A FEW VENDORS. CINNABON WAS THERE HANDING OUT FREE BUNS BEFORE THE WALK.

AFTER THE WALK THERE WAS A SNACK SPREAD BY ONE OF THE CASINO CHEFS, AND LIVE MUSIC. THEY HAD ALL THE PARTICIPANTS LINED UP IN THE GRASS IN THE FORM OF A TREE OF LIFE AND USED A DRONE TO TAKE ARIEAL SHOTS, IF I SEE THE PICTURE ON THE NET I’LL POST IT.

THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HANDED OUT T-SHIRTS BEFORE THE WALK AND IF YOU FINISHED YOU TURNED IN YOUR PUNCH CARD FOR A GIFT BAG.

BULLHEAD CITY ROCKS, THE ROCK PAINTING GROUP I BLOGGED ABOUT BEFORE WAS THERE AND ENCOURAGED YOU TO PAINT A ROCK IN MEMORY OF SOMEONE YOU KNEW WHO HAD CANCER. YOU PAINTED THE BASE COAT BEFORE THE WALK AND DECORATED IT AFTER.

THE ROCKS WERE ALL GOING TO BE SEAL COATED AND DISPLAYED SOMEWHERE ALONG THE RIVER, AGAIN IF I EVER SEE A PICTURE ON THE NET I’LL POST IT. HERE IS MY FIRST PAINTED ROCK.
