IT'S GREAT TO BE SWISS !!!
"IT'S GREAT TO BE SWISS", IS WHAT IT SAID ON THE RED MATCHING T-SHIRTS THE BROTHERS WORE ALONG WITH BRIGHT RED SWISS BASEBALL CAPS IN THE CHEESE DAYS PARADE. THEY SIMPLY CARRIED A BANNER THAT READ, "TWO GUYS WITH A BANNER" THEY MARCHED, THEY SMILED, THEY DID THE FAMOUS CROWNED PRINCES WAVE, THEY SPUN CIRCLES WITH THE BANNER, AND THEY ENTERTAINED THE CROWD---AT CHEESE DAYS IN MONROE, IT IS GREAT TO BE SWISS !!!!WRITTEN BY REX
SATURDAY MORNING STARTED IN CAMP WITH ABOUT 25 FAMILY MEMBERS ARRIVING FOR A BREAKFAST OF OMELETS IN A BAG. EVERYONE HAD SEEN IT ON TV OR READ ABOUT IT, BUT NOBODY HAD TRIED IT. THEY WERE VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT PUTTING THE INGREDIENTS OF HAM, SAUSAGE, ONION, MUSHROOMS, AND PEPPERS IN A FREEZER BAG MARKED WITH THEIR NAME, AND THEN CRACK TWO RAW EGGS IN, SEAL, MIX, AND DROP THE BAG INTO A POT OF BOILING WATER. WE PLAYFULLY FED THEIR APPREHENSION WITH COMMENTS LIKE, "WE'VE NEVER TRIED THIS BEFORE" AND "I SURE HOPE THIS EXPERIMENT WORKS". THE SCENE PLAYED OUT WITH QUITE A GATHERING SURROUNDING THE BIGG gASS GRILL AND THE BOILING POTS, WITH LOTS OF HUMOR AND FAMILY VISITING. A GREAT SUCCESSFUL FAMILY REUNION AND BREAKFAST. OF COURSE WE ALSO DID OUR FAMOUS DUTCH OVEN STICKY BUNS.I'LL ADD MORE CHEESEDAYS STORIES LATER ON ONE OF THOSE SLOW BLOG DAYS, AND ADD PICTURES TO OUR WEBSITE.
