RUG DOCTOR

WE REALLY HAVEN'T HAD TO DEAL WITH CARPET CLEANING IN THE CAMPER DUE TO MARY'S SCHEME OF THROW RUGS, ROOM RUG, AND MATS THAT PROTECT THE CARPET FROM DIRT AND WEAR.

AFTER FOUR YEARS HOWEVER WE NEEDED TO SHAMPOO THE CARPET. WE RENTED THE RUG DOCTOR AND BOUGHT THE SOAP ($47 TOTAL), AND TACKLED THE JOB OURSELVES INSTEAD OF HIRING A SERVICE.

THE RUG DOCTOR HAS CHANGED A LOT SINCE THE SUPPER CLUB DAYS, WHEN I SHAMPOOED THE CARPET EVERY 10,000 CUSTOMERS. THE MACHINE IS SMALLER, AND LIGHTER, IN LINE WITH THE IMPROVEMENTS AND COST CUTTING OF TODAY.

THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED THE TWO THINGS THAT MAKE THIS PRODUCT WORK. NUMBER ONE: IS THE SOAP FORMULA, AND NUMBER TWO: IS THE VIBRATING BRUSH ACTION IN THE SCRUBBING HEAD. THESE TWO THINGS PRODUCE A CLEAN CARPET.

WHILE WE WERE AT IT WE USED THE HAND TOOLS ON THE FURNITURE AND SEAT CUSHIONS.

THE NICE PART ABOUT CLEANING CARPET ON THE LOWER DESERT IS LOW HUMIDITY. AFTER YOU'RE DONE, YOU LOAD UP THE MACHINE AND RETURN IT, HAVE A COUPLE OF COCKTAILS, DO A LITTLE GROCERY SHOPPING AND WHEN YOU GET HOME THE CARPET IS DRY AND YOU'RE READY TO PUT THE FURNITURE AWAY AND THE JOB IS DONE.

LOOKS GOOD, HEY......
