ABOUT THE CATS?
LIKE HORSES AND DOGS, WHEN YOU HAVE TWO OR MORE THERE IS A DOMINATE ONE. THE KING, TOP DOG, OR QUEEN.
THE SAME IS TRUE OF CATS. IT’S BEEN ABOUT 10 DAYS SINCE WE INTRODUCED “AZ” TO SUSIE’S WORLD. THE CAT WAR WAS VERY SHORT AND THE HISS’N HAS EVEN STOPPED, BUT THERE IS NO CLEAR WINNER IN THE RACE FOR DOMINANCE.
SUSIE IS TOO MUCH LIKE REX, I GUESS. AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS OF INTEREST IN THE NEW CAT, SUSIE JUST WENT BACK TO HER REGULAR ROUTINE.
THEY BOTH COME OUT ON THE PORCH AFTER WE GET HOME FROM WORK AND PLAY TAG AND HIDE AND SEEK. WHEN IT’S “AZ’S” TURN TO HIDE HE GETS UNDER SOMETHING AND THEN YELLS OUT SO IT’S EASIER FOR SUSIE TO FIND HIM.
WHEN SUSIE HIDES, SHE IS AS SILENT AS A MOUSE, BUT “AZ”, WITH THE DACHUND NOSE, EVENTUALLY SNIFFS HER OUT.
“AZ” CONTINUES TO TAKE SHOTS AT SUSIE’S, FIRST HERE, HOME DOMINANCE. FOR EXAMPLE “AZ” HAS KICKED SUSIE OUT OF MARY’S CHAIR FOR OVERNIGHT SLEEPING.
WHEN SUSIE IS ENJOYING A NICE DAYTIME CAT NAP, “AZ” WILL WANDER BY AND START A BOXING MATCH.
IT’S ALL VERY ENTERTAINING.
