PAULIE'S IN CAMP

IT WAS A GREAT DAY WITH PAULIE IN CAMP. PAULIE AND BAILY SHOWED UP ABOUT NOON, THAT’S EARLY IN THE DAY FOR A GRAVE-YARD DEALER LIKE PAULIE.

WE HAD DISCUSSED WAXING PAULIE’S NEW TRUCK, BUT WHEN IT CAME RIGHT DOWN TO IT WE JUST ENJOYED SITTING AROUND CAMP IN THE PERFECT “SUNNY & 80” WEATHER. OF COURSE A COOLER OF ICE COLD BEER ADDED TO OUR LAZINESS.
A COUPLE OF TIMES WE LABORED OUT OF OUR LAWN CHAIRS AND MADE THE HALF MILE HIKE AROUND THE POND WITH BAILY.

OF COURSE THE DUCKS WERE A DISTRACTION TO BAILY.

WE SPLIT UP THE CAMP COOKING WITH REX IN CHARGE OF A PORK ROAST ON THE BIGG GASS GRILL , MARY IN CHARGE OF THE APPLE PIE IN THE DUTCH OVEN,

AND PAULIE’S ASSIGNMENT WAS, CORN BREAD IN THE DUTCH OVEN OVER CHARCOAL.

TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD TOO, WITH A CAN OF CORN ADDED FOR FLAVOR AND HONEY BUTTER ON TOP.

BY 7:30 PM WE WERE ALL FULL, MADE ONE MORE TRIP AROUND THE LAKE, AND JUST LIKE A COUPLE OF OLE CAMPERS SENT PAUL ON HIS WAY BACK TO THE CITY.
