Chesedays, Monroe, WI

By Uncle Hans

You've seen the camping end of Cheesedays, which was kinda damp.   Both Saturday and Sunday the rain cleared away before we headed into town to the festivities.
This is the "welt behrumpte"  (world famous) Baumgartner's tavern in Monroe on the square.  We seemed to congregate there.

....we immediately ordered beer and limburger sandwiches to eat on the square.

The place usually had a line out the door and down the street.  It was one continuous polka from the live band in the back............

The whole square is open container........

......beer and limburger are not currently available in downtown Atlanta............

....here Neil congratulates the King and Queen of Cheesedays.  You loyal blog followers know that they are cousin Janice  (Wettach) and her husband Dennis Everson.  Quite an honor.  They were gracious enough to hunt us down and have a beer with us in the middle of their busy day.............

..............we hung and sampled the entertainment on the square.  They had yodeling and alpine horns.   Take it from me it was kinda cool............
