FOLLOW-UP ON THE CAT WARS
AS YOU RECALL WHEN WE GOT THE TWO CATS TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST FALL, THE CAT WAR WAS SHORT AND NON-VIOLENT.
TWO CATS ARE THE BEST THING WE EVER DID FOR EACH OF THEM. WHEN WE HAD SUSIE ALONE WE PETTED HER DAILY AND PLAYED WITH HER A COUPLE OF TIMES A WEEK.
NOW SUSIE AND “AZ” HAVE TWO EXERCIZE PERIODS A DAY, MORNING AND NIGHT !!! THEY GROWL AND CHASE EACH OTHER THROUGH THE CAMPER AND PORCH WITHOUT FAIL.
THEY COMPETE FOR TREATS, AND KEEP EACH OTHER IN TOP SHAPE, AND FINE CONDITION.
WHEN IT’S TIME FOR A CAT NAP, SUSIE HEADS OFF TO HER CLOSET AND “AZ” HEADS OUT ON THE PORCH TO THE CAT TREE.
THEY DON’T DON’T SLEEP TOGETHER, OR GROOM EACH OTHER. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I FOUND THEM THIS CLOSE TOGETHER OUT ON THE PORCH LAST WEEK.
MY GOD, THEIR BUTTS ARE EVEN TOUCHING. I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THAT THEY ARE LAYING IN FRONT ON MY BIG FAN ON THE PORCH, THE COOLEST PLACE TO BE.

We recently did the same thing for our parakeet, Tinker. we got a companion, Vinnie. But the sex of a parakeet cannot be determined until they are about 6 months old. So he may be "Violet". Could be a subject for a blog?
