PURRS LIKE A KITTEN
SCOOTER REPORT
THE PURCHASE OF THE NEW SCOOTER WAS DESIGNED TO SIT OUT THE REMAINDER OF THE HOT WEATHER ON THE PORCH. THIS WAY WE’D HAVE TIME TO DO THE PAPER WORK REQUIRED TO GET A LIC. PLATE IN PLACE.
IT ALSO GIVES US TIME TO LEARN HOW TO RIDE THE SCOOTER, WITHOUT THE TEMPTATION OF GETTING OUT ON THE OPEN ROAD WITHOUT ENOUGH PRACTICE, BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLATE.
OUR FIRST REACTION IS THAT THE SCOOTER IS HEAVY. IT WEIGHS ABOUT 300 LBS. AND IT’S AN ADJUSTMENT TO RIDING A BYCYCLE FROM OUR YOUTH.
WE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE TO TEACH EACH OTHER HOW TO RIDE. IT’S A HOUSEING DEVELOPMENT CLOSE TO THE RV PARK WHERE THE STREETS AND SIGNS ARE IN PLACE, BUT THERE ARE NO HOMES BUILT YET. ALL THE STREETS ARE NEW PAVEMENT AND NICE AND SMOOTH.
