MOVING DAY

WRITTEN BY REX
Custom Smiley TODAY IS A MOVING DAY. IT'S ONLY 30 MILES TO THE CHRIS HAVEN RV PARK, BUT WE'RE SITTING AT 4300 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL AND WE NEED TO PULL THE CAMPER UP THE MOUNTAIN OVER SPOONER PASS AT 7100 FEET. WE MAKE THIS CLIMB IN A SERIES OF MOUNTAIN SWITCH BACKS OVER NINE MILES. THAT'S DONE IN 3RD GEAR AT 40 MPH WITH THE BIG RED MOUNTAIN TRUCK AND TRITON V10. IT'S WHITE KNUCKLE TIME AS THE ORANGE BARRELS OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION ARE A SUMMER FIXTURE ON THIS STRETCH AS WELL.

CHRIS HAVEN IS AN RV PARK COMPLETELY COVERED BY HUGH PONDEROSA PINES. IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL. WE WILL ALSO HAVE A HIGH SPEED CABLE CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET, I'LL TRULY BE A HAPPY CAMPER !!!

AT LAKE TAHOE WE NEVER RUN THE A/C AND ARE ALWAYS IN SHORTS AND T-SHIRTS DURING THE DAY.

Good luck with that move.
And we enjoyed the commute pictures, beautiful view but a little scary to drive it at night I would think. So Teresa thought we should post our commute pictures too, just as a view from the other end of the spectrum. Ours will be quite the joke. Coming soon to a blog near you.
