Dinner Party

Recently, we had a dinner party. Old family friend, Roy, ( Sara's old boyfriend from Green Bay)was in the area and stopped over with Jake.  I had it all worked out to bake some chicken in the oven along with a thing we call Jake potatoes.  Sliced and spiced potato chunks in olive oil, then baked with the chicken.  We got to drinking and making the potatoes, when we went to pre-warm the oven.......

.....wham!  The oven would not work!  Now, what to do?  What to do? What to do?   Roy sez, "gotta grill?"...

...  the boys took over the kitchen.  Renee took notes.  and the results were delicious.  They filleted the chicken breasts and "rubbed" them with spices, herbs and barbeque sauce.  Yum Yum!, but Charley got none and was not impressed.
