Update on DBK

susie 013

By Susie-Q

It’s been about six weeks since the Happy Campers brought DBK (Dirt Bag Kitten) home, so I thought I’d do an update.

I spent about three days hiss’n at the new cat, telling him to go back where he came from and that he’s not welcome here , but it was clear right from the start that he is here to stay.

After six weeks we have settled into a routine. I still spend my days cat napping, but now I make time every evening and morning for some play time with “AZ” and I do like it.

Wrestling

We enjoy playing tag, hide and seek, and have recently begun wrestling. I really enjoy the wrestling, with my longer reach, height, and weight advantage I can beat him easily.Take downs with a friendly nip behind the ears or on the butt bring the howl out of “AZ”. And I do like it.

Trouble

Trouble might be DBK’s middle name. He gets into some kind of trouble everyday. Rex is very forgiving, but Mary is going to nail his ass eventually. Rex constantly blames Me for being a bad babysitter, but hey, I’m not my brother’s keeper.

Besides, “AZ” gets the blame for everything!! It’s like having my own, get out of jail free card.  I can pull any kinda shit I want and then sit back and watch “AZ” catch Hell again. And I do Like it.

Clumsy

Being as graceful as a cat, just isn’t “AZ”. He’s as clumsy as a five year old boy. When he walks across the counter, desk, table, even the floor he’s knocking something off on the floor. The other night he flipped the stool over on the floor which hit the, Mr. Heater, the gas heater and the safety switch clicked the heater off. Crazy “AZ”. And I do like it.

Computer illiterate

Since the second week I’ve been trying to teach “AZ” how to write a blog.  It’s a waste of my time, after the computer  boots up all he does is dance across the keyboard trying to catch the mouse pointer on the screen, so don’t hold your breath waiting for “AZ’s first blog. When it comes to blogging it’s all about Susie-Q and I like it.

DBK

susie 013 (2)

By Susie-Q

Thankfully the Happy Campers arrived home today, and after my regular couple of hours pout, I warmed right up to them and welcomed them home. They  are busy unloading, unpacking, checking the mail, putting things away, and are just too busy to Blog, so I thought I’d write a quick blog to let you all know they arrived safely home from their Wisconsin road trip. Like the rest of you I’ve been reading the blog about the new spotted kitten.

I took a little peek at the new kitten, but I’ve had a couple of weeks to think it over and make a plan.

First, let’s talk about the name Rex gave the new kitten. AZ, really? Initials for a name? I’ll give you initials for a name , Rex, how about DBK? DBK, Dirt Bag Kitten, just look at all those dirty spots!

Now for my plan, I know they are keeping DBK out on the porch and me inside, we’re separated by the screen door until we become friendly.  Not a bad plan, Rex, but I’m not going anywhere near that screen door.

Maybe tomorrow, or maybe Halloween.  Hell, I may wait until Christmas, let DBK live out on the cold porch……

Holy Mother Of God

By Susie-Q

Rex just left me at the Animal Hospital, I even gave him those sad puppy dog eyes, but he just walked out and left ME.

cat 003

On the other hand the Doctor gave me some magnificent drugs, I mean, like Angle dust from the 60’s. Oh, so cool,  mellow, I was bullet proof, and I think I could fly?

I had an out of body hallucination, I thought I was a parakeet and flew up and sat on the Doctors shoulder and tweeted in his ear while he used a laser to remove my front claws. Oh, look at my blood spurt, warm, and deep red, just like when I claw or bite Rex on the hand.

Holy Mother Of God !!!

When I woke up I felt like shit.  My paws were all bandaged up, and hurt like Hell.

Declawing a cat is inhumane treatment, where are those California Animal Activists when I need them?

Did you know that declawing a cat isn’t just a nail trim?  It’s amputation.  To declaw a cat, the Veterinarian cuts off the last knuckles of a cat’s paw – cutting through bone, tendons, skin and nerves.  In a person, it’s equivalent to amputating each finger at the last joint.

Declaw surgery is an extremely painful procedure with associated health risks and complications such as infection.

Declaw surgery can produce permanent lameness, pain or arthritis.

Declaw surgery is illegal in may European countries.

I’m pissed off! After I write this blog I’m gonna write to my Congressman, my Senator, and maybe even President Trump.

Where’s that cute little nurse?  Can I go home to my camper, yet?

cat 002

All this because of a new screen porch?  I better really like sett’in on that Porch!

The Clues Were Clear

By Susie-Q

The clues leading up to this violation were many. The first clue was last week, when the Happy Campers were gone house sitting. That means I was left home alone all week, with Steve the next door neighbor looking in on me daily.

When the Happy Campers returned home, Rex didn’t change my liter box.  When they are going to be gone awhile Rex uses clay liter in my box, as opposed to clumpable liter when they are home everyday.

Clue #1

Where is my regular Clumpable liter?

The second clue came along on Friday, when Rex finally changed out the clay liter with a new cat liter made out of recycled newspapers, called Yesterday’s News.  This liter is terrible!

pavers 005

After a couple of days it stinks and smells like shit.  It gets all soggy, and I wondered at the time “What the hell is going on?”

Clue #2

Yesterday’s News liter?

The third clue was on Sunday night when my food silo suddenly disappeared. This can’t be good. Something drastic is in the works! Where is my supper?

pavers 007

Clue #3

My food silo was removed?

The last clue was early Monday morning when Rex carried in the Cat Garage.  That Cat Garage means I’m in for a trip, and I hate to be away from my camper !!!

pavers 009

To use the word’s of Grandma Rechsteiner, “I’m not liking this, and I’m gonna have to get a little tuff with them”. I took off for the closet and began sharpening my claws and teeth for the battle. By the way, at this point I’m scared to death!

Clue #4

The Cat Garage came out?

Sure enough I was loaded into the Cat Garage and put into the the truck.  When we arrived at our destination, after crying in protest all the way, I smelled it.

I recognize that foul odor, it’s like the like the dog pound, this can’t be good! Now I’m pissed off, scared, and hungry.  My food silo was still missing this morning.

GOOD GRIEF!

I’ve been dropped off at the Veterinary Clinic. I’ve already been neutered, what the Hell am I doing here?

The Roadie

By Susie-Q

Mary jumped and squealed a bit when she went to the open door the other morning.  I immediately jumped down from my Cat Tree to investigate.

OMG, it was my ole nemesis, the Roadie.

cat 004

The Son – Of – A – Bitch was right on the top step looking in. We had a long tail twitching stare down.

cat 006

I made some moves, but the screen door was in the way, and the Roadie knew it!

cat 008

The stare down went on for about 45 minutes, with the Roadie clicking at me and laughing.

cat 007

Mary’s the smart one and opened the backdoor to come and go, in and out of the camper, but Rex finally moved to go outside and opened the screen.  I had my long awaited chance and with fur flying darted outside after the Roadie!

I chased it about 10 yards before I realized I was outside.  It startled me, and I threw on the brakes screeching to a halt in the middle of the road.  The Roadie saw his chance and my apprehension, turned and literally chased my Ass back into the camper.

Laughing all the way !!!

I’m Still Here

By Susie-Q

I noticed that the Happy Campers haven’t mentioned ME in the blog lately, so I thought I’d take matters into my own paws and check-in.

Mostly I just lay around sleeping away 70% of my life like most cats.

sat 001

Recently the Happy Campers were gone a week house sitting.  No big deal, Steve, the neighbor, keeps an eye on me, and even comes over and leaves the door open so I can look outside. Look who showed up to torment the shit out of me.

sat 004

Yup, It’s that Damn Roadrunner.  We were both busy giving each other the Evil Eye and Tail Twitching treatment.

Allow me to get off on a side bar here and tell a story about this Damn Roadie. Last year He was next door tormenting Scruffy, Steve’s housecat, when Scruf was fed up and pounced on the screen door, the door flew open and Scruf was out of the motorhome. Scruf, like me, is strictly an indoor cat and was lost outside for over a week with no food.  There was an all points bulletin and everyone was searching high and low, day and night for poor Scruf.  We were all might happy when somebody spotted Scruf living in the wheel well of a motorhome two streets over, and Scuf was mighty happy to put on the feedbag and get back inside.

Another advantage to the Happy Campers leaving for a week is that Mary always buys me a new toy to play with while they are gone.  This time it was a rubber ball that lights up when I bang it around with my paws. What fun!

That’s it for today, now I’ll check for that Damn Roadie, then I’ll head back for a little cat nap.

Summer Mouse Wars

susie 013

By Susie-Q

The summer mouse wars continue, and it’s fairly easy to detect them.  They come out at night while the Happy Campers are at work slapp’in jacks.  I pounce on them and give a wicked reception, and they retreat and leave the way they came in.

The Happy Campers have been very appreciative and reward me almost daily with treats.

However one of the little squeekers slipped by the other day, and I heard Mary scream those horrible words, “MOUSE !!!”

Aw Shit !!!” Why does she grab the camera and take pictures when a snake appears in the camper, but goes ballistic over a little mouse?  I know the drill, and immediately took off for the closet.  Rex knows the drill, and got out the mouse traps.

After the Happy Campers went to work, and the little mouse made his night raid, I lost my temper with the little S.O.B. and mortally wounded it.  It crawled back into the safety of the kitchen drawer and bled to death.  Not a pretty sight, and I felt sorry for Rex while he did the clean up and had to wash all the dishes in that drawer.

Wonder if I’ll get my treats today?

The snake in the camper episode was really exciting.  I had it cornered behind Steve’s chair and even though Rex calls me a “scaredy cat” I was holding my ground.

The Grandson’s visit was just as Rex predicted. I Do Hate Kids.  I spent the entire 24 hours in the bedroom closet.

The extreme lower desert heat is killing me.  I’ve been shedding a lot of hair.  I hop up on Mary’s lap daily and she helps me with my preening, by combing me.  I’m not “off feed”, but I get pretty lethargic and lay around suffering when the A/C isn’t set low enough.  I really miss it when the door is closed, and I can’t sit in front of the screen door and watch the outside.

Another 3 or 4 weeks and the worst of the heat should be over, I can’t wait !!!

That’s all I have to report from the base of Waterfall Mountain, somewhere near Oatman, AZ.  Enjoy what’s left of the summer of ‘10.

Mouse In The House

By Susie-Q

I was nearly excommunicated from the camper last week when Mary came face to face with a MOUSE, and it wasn’t my fault!!!

The Mouse entered the trailer by squeezing in along the kitchen plumbing pipes in the bottom of the trailer.  Rex says there is a false bottom on the outside of the trailer which prevents him from stuffing steel wool along these pipes to keep the mice out.

The Mouse arrived inside the lower kitchen cupboards.  I laid on the kitchen floor all day and could hear it moving around exploring.  The Mouse made it’s way up into the stove top and I changed my sentry position to the counter by the stove top.  I saw it !! Wow, Wow, a  nice big juicy one !!!

That evening I couldn’t contain myself and whispered in Rex’s ear that there was a big juicy Mouse under the stove top.  That Asshole Rex couldn’t keep a secret and blabbed to Mary about a Mouse …..

Mary freaks out, walks across the kitchen and lifts the stove top to look…..
It was mayhem. Mary was face to face with the  big, juicy, beady eyed mouse. I was cursed, yelled at, blamed, and I thought for a minute she was going to sock me.  Mary screamed, “I want it out !!!”, and I wasn’t sure if she was yelling about me, the mouse, Rex or all three of us being kicked out.

I crawled on my knees, over to the laughing Asshole Rex to plead for mercy and help. Rex got out the mouse traps and peanut butter, and the Mouse went out with the morning garbage.

It could be a long summer Mouse season, and I hope that Mary and I both survive.

She Didn't Forget!!

Remember the other day when I thought Mary forgot my birthday?  I was wrong, turns out she just decided to give me my gift when they left so I would have something new to  play with while they were gone!  They actually bought me something,  my toys are usually things that are just around, like an empty beer box or shoe strings.

Isn't it nice??  A nice new toy to occupy me while they are gone.

Thanks!!

Belated Birthday

By Susie-Q

I knew Mary would screw up and forget somebody's Birthday, and guess what?  She forgot ME !!!  Yup, yesterday was my first birthday.  Of course in human years that makes me 15.

It's been an interesting year with the Happy Campers raising me and teaching me the ways of RV life.  Now that I'm a teenager it's ME teaching them.  Neither one of them are really "Cat People", and they still have a lot to learn.

Last month when they brought home an outdoor dog kennel I laid it on them.  I am A Cat and love living inside the RV.  I'm not going for a walk on a leash, and I'm sure as hell not sitting outside in a wire cage.  Normally I'm easy going and don't have anything to say, kinda like Rex, but put me in cage outside and I'll howell and cry for as long as it takes.  Steve, the neighbor, even threaten to call the society for the prevention to the cruelty of animals.

Geees, are they stupid or what?  They put me out there a second day, although they gave up in a couple of hours the second day.  That was it.  I high tailed it to deep in the closet where they could never find me and spent a week.  I could hear them out there sweetly calling my name and shaking my treat box, but...... Screw That!!

Just to show you how SLOW they are about Cats, after being in hiding for seven days, and no cute little black pussy cat around to entertain them,  they finally got up in the middle of the night while I was out in the front room eating and closed the closet doors.  I peaked outside, and the big wire cage was GONE.  I guess I won that round.

The current on going problem is my habit of scratching.  I mean I can't help it.  When you wake up from a Cat Nap it's the natural thing to do, stretch and scratch with my front paws.  When they remind me, I stop instantly and give them that sweet, "I'm so sorry, I forgot look".

They have pretty much decided to take me to Green Bay and have Uncle Neil, the vet, remove my front claws.  OUCH, can you imagine?  Have your finger nails pulled out with a pliers?  I think NOT !!!   Even Dick Cheney wouldn't sign off on torture like that.

To combat them, I have a two phase plan.  First I called a meeting and explained to them why they got a cat last summer in the first place.  To eliminate and catch mice.  Have you seen any mouse turds in the kitchen lately?  Are you returning to Oatman, land of the mice, to camp again this coming summer?  How can I preform my duties if you take away my number one weapon?  MY CLAWS  !!!

The second phase has been on going.......  the Happy Campers are heading to Wisconsin for a vacation soon.  Part of their plan is to take me along (to Green Bay) and they began taking me for rides in the car, talking about a litter box for the car, my favorite red bed in the car, etc.  I HATE RIDING IN THE CAR  !!!

Come on guys........  I'm like 15 years old now, and old enough to stay home by myself.  Do you really want a whining cat in the car for a 4,000 mile road trip?  Do I really give a shit about meeting Grandma, and a slug of grandchildren?  Now I've never met a child before, but I'm guessing I hate kids.   I'll be good at home, I promise !

I thought it was a losing battle, until today.  They started laying down the rules while they are gone to Wisconsin on vacation:

* Don't run the A/C lower than 90 degrees
* No teenage parties
* There's an extra bag of Cat food behind the living room chair
* Do not jump on top of the slide out
* No tomcats in here, either neutered or not neutered.
* Stay out of Grandma Jack's whiskey

They are leaving on Monday for Wisconsin, Let's hope they don't change their minds.  Hmmmm......  I wonder if those closet doors are left open, I may need to hide out for a few days.

HOW TO STAY WARM

By Susie-Q

aa 012

Hi Blog readers, Susie-Q here, still living with the Happy Campers.  I dodged the bullet again this week as Uncle Neil cancelled his trip to Laughlin in January, when Rex was going to have Uncle Neil remove my front claws.  Guess I better be using the scratching post a little more often when I stretch after my cat naps.

I’ve turned into a “House Cat”, I just just don’t enjoy the great outdoors. Rex calls me a Scaredy Cat, and even leaves the screen door open on purpose to entice me outdoors.  I sit on the step just to see what he’s doing outside, but don’t cross the threshold.  He’s forced me outside a few times, but I just slip my collar and run inside the camper and hide from him.

Now that the winter weather has closed in I’ve found a couple of warm places to hang out.  During the day it’s in front of the window with the sun shinning in.

aa 014

In the evening I stretch out in front of the gas space heater.

aa 003

The Happy Campers are gradually switching me off of kitten food and on to adult food as I weigh 7.5 pounds at 7 months old.  I can just barely squeeze under the bathroom door when it’s closed.

Enjoy the upcoming Holidays !!!

A Report From Home

By Susie-Q

Home Alone

I’ve been reading the Blog this week, even if I am stuck here on the desert , Home Alone, and it sucks not to be there, on Caye Caulker with the Happy Campers.

Actually I’m not alone.  The good neighbors, Steve and Meryl stop by at least once a day and visit.  Here is Steve entertaining me as usual.

ok 002

Luckily, Rex left my cat treats handy:

ok 003

Besides Steve, I have my favorite Roadie stop by in the mornings to torment the Shit out of me.  If it weren’t for this screen door, it would be Me, Wiley Coyote, and the Acme company all over this Roadie’s butt.

RR 001

Can you see that S.O.B. sitting outside, just to the right of my head?

RR 004

Damn that Road Runner gets under my skin !!!

Don’t worry Happy Campers, I’m doing my job of guarding the home front, and keeping up on my daily patrols of the camper.

By the way, you’ve been gone a looong time are you ever coming home?  At least to get me?

Outside

By Susie-Q

My cat curiosity has always wondered about the outside, especially when the Happy Campers are sitting outside enjoying an evening cocktail.  I take up my station inside the screen door and whine.  It doesn’t do much, neither one of them can hear for shit.

Imagine my surprise when they put a harness and leash on me and took me OUTSIDE with them!!  To make a long story short, I’ve had a total of three different harnesses, all of which I’ve slipped out of.  One thing I taught the Happy Campers is that a black cat at night is invisible!

It’s my weakness for those yummy cat treats, and the shaking of their container that always brings me running back.

The other evening, Rex leaned over and unhooked my leash from his lawn chair and just let me wander off.  I had a great time wandering around camp, even if I had to drag the 10 foot leash along with me. I found my old blue water dish and got a drink, and a huge pile of sand where I relieved myself.

I checked out under the trailer, under the Honda, under the pick-up, and even climbed up the mountain out back.

I love  the OUTSIDE !!!

Leisure Time

By Susie-Q

I’ve been too busy laying around, tormenting Rex, patrolling for mice, and enjoying the easy RV lifestyle to Blog, but I’m still here and have avoided becoming “Coyote Bait”.

Recently I spent 53 hours home alone as the Happy Campers were off to Las Vegas to party with family. I got to admit, I prefer staying home alone to being in my Cat Garage, and getting anywhere near the Henderson Dog Pound, but I really miss the Happy Campers when they’re gone that long.

I know that Mary really misses me as well. Look at what I found on her foot after she came home from Vegas.

aim vegas 008

It’s my paw print tattooed on her foot!

Check out my growing collection of toys.

 cat toys 001

Of course my favorite toy is still an old brown shoestring out of Rex’s tennis shoes.  If Rex isn’t tying me up in it, I just roll and tie myself up.

This is my feathers on a stick.  It’s firmly duct taped to the top of the big fan, and when the fan is turned on it dances like crazy.  I attack it from the top and the bottom.

cat toys 006

This is my own personal hook.  On it are stored a green cable leash, harness, and my own comb.

cat toys 019

It’s right next to Mary’s desk and when we’re watching TV she combs out the black hair on my back.  My own salon service!

If you’ve read this far in today’s Blog you must be a true cat lover……

I really need some help…….

This mysterious Red dot appears out of nowhere.

cat toys 011

There it is just to the left of my head.  It moves across the doors, walls, and floors.  I give chase, trying my hardest to capture the Damn thing, but it just disappears and shows up somewhere else.  The Red dot of light annoys me, follows me, runs me ragged crashing into walls and doors.

I googled it on the Internet and all that came up was was “laser light”?

Please Help Me…….

The Dog Pound

By Susie-Q

Sound the alarm !!! Today the Happy Campers boxed me up in the“Cat Garage” and loaded me into the back seat of the Honda. Now what? Like Rex, I don’t like to be separated from the camper, and all my stuff.

It was a long trip, reminded me of my first trip five weeks ago when they brought me home.  Hey, where is my feeder, water, and my sand box?

dog pound 001

OH MY GOD !!! It’s the Dog Pound !!! I don’t believe it !! I’ve been good, come on guys, give me a break, I’m just a youngster. P-L-E-A-S-E …….. don’t send me back to the Dog Pound!!!

This isn’t looking good.  The over-flow cages in the hallway are full, Mary’s at the window doing paperwork.

dog pound 002

I’m still with Rex in my Cat Garage. Really this Cat Garage isn’t such a bad place.  I’ll even quit whining about it!

I guess this is The End, the Animal Control Officer took me and the Cat Garage into the back room.  She removed me from the Cat Garage and immediately gave me a couple of shots in the butt. OUCH !!!

Hey wait …….

She returned me to the Cat Garage instead of the hallway cages. Look the Happy Campers are still here, and everybody is smiling.

dog pound 005

Turns out they just brought me back to Animal Control for some free cat shots, including a Rabies shot.  They donated a couple of bags of cat food they got at Petco after they returned that God awful pet bed.

It turned out to be a terrible day, spending 6 hours in the Cat Garage and car doing errands in Las Vegas, but even with a sore ass from the shot, it’s good to be back home with the Happy Campers!!

Swing Shift Cat

I’m getting the Happy Camper’s routine figured out now after a couple weeks of living in the camper. When they begin getting ready for work, I get up from my cat nap to send them off with a smile on their face.

When they go to work on swing shift at the casino, I set up for work as well. I take up my position on top of Mary’s glass desk and assume my surveillance on Mouse control. I hate to brag, but I showed Rex where a dead mouse was inside the duct work for the furnace, made me the Cat Of The Day in Mary’s eyes, but the Mouse War continues.

After two days I gave up my secret Hide-Out, there isn’t much point hiding from the Happy Campers, they really don’t bother me much and there is nothing to be afraid of. The Hide-Out was super secure and cool. I slipped unnoticed under Steve’s chair and climb up on a board inside the chair where nobody could reach me. I’ll keep that secure spot on reserve for emergencies.

My quest for some of that delicious human food continues. I’m sure that Mary is the one that will cave in on this issue so I give her the evil cat eye and pester the hell out of her when ever she eats. So far, I’ve made zero progress. I’m beginning to understand where she got the will power to quit smoking six and half years ago.

Here is the only problem in my life:

post 002

This the Green Squirt Bottle Weapon!!!

I hate the Weapon, and the firing of it, I have no choice but to make a hasty retreat to the Cat Hut. It’s completely UNFAIR when they use the weapon!! They don’t give me a warning, no polite “NO” or anything!

I can get away with all kinds of cat pranks, like walking around the table, bed, jumping up on chairs, waking them in the middle of the night with “kisses”, climbing up to look out the widow, prowling behind the furniture, but when I climbed up the screen door with my sharp little claws chasing bugs on the outside of the screen, ZAP ! Then the next day I was playfully chewing on the cell phone charger cord ZAP ! Climb into the kitchen sink ZAP !

God Damn It !! I hate that Green Squirt Bottle Weapon!!

I taught myself to stay away from those dangerous mirrored closet doors, and I’m never going to climb up the screen door again!

I love it when the Happy Campers come home from work. Rex opens a beer and plays with me for an hour. If Rex is busy, Mary gets out my toys to play. I’m getting quite a collection toys, check out my scratching post.

post 001

I spend hours chasing my own tail, what fun !! Try it sometime.

I’m Home

By Susie-Q

susie 029

I learned a lot on that hot car trip across the Mohave Desert.  It seems my purpose in life is to keep the mice out of the camper. Failure or or any unacceptable behavior will result in something called “Coyote Bait”.

A couple of phone calls were made to get advice on kitten training. The first call was Uncle Neil, who described the squirt gun training method, and what “fun” it is to correct mistakes in behavior. Not sure I’m going to like that “Uncle Neil” fellow!!!

The second call was Steve, and I liked his advice much better, which was to teach me the word “NO”. I think Steve and I are going to be great pals!!

In the end, I helped them out a little, and had them make a stop at the Laughlin library for this book.

cat 003

One thing for sure, becoming “Coyote Bait” is to be avoided. I made a plan in my head to put on the cutest kitten show of my life once I was released from this box!!

On my release in the camper I found they created a Cat Hut under the table in the camper. WOW, is this cool, look at that, a my size sand box, and food vending tower with at least 10x my body weight in dry cat food!! They only have to feed me once a month at the most. But look at that cat bed? I haven’t seen anything that ugly color since the 1970’s.

I put my plan into action, and made a stop at the feeder, water bowl, and climbed into my sand box to shit and piss.  Better suck up to Mary, she signed my papers, and named me “Susie-Q”.

cat 004

Man I’ve had a couple of ruff days, Major surgery, freedom from the dog pound, all in all, a lot of stress !!! I need a Cat Nap Now!!  So I continued the short version of the kitten show and curled up in that God Ugly cat bed in my new Cat Hut, under the table for a nap.

I slept with one eye open, to keep an eye on the Happy Campers. Strange, they are filling a flask with Jack Daniels to smuggle into the beer bar in Oatman. Hmmm, a couple of rule breakers, I may fit in just fine. While they were on their run to Oatman I enjoyed my nap and slept so soundly that I didn’t even dream about coyotes.

A few hours later I awoke to to the delicious smell of fried pork chops and fried rice with shrimp.  I got to get up, and checkout that fried rice!! I forgot my manners and immediately jumped and climbed up on the table to taste that rice. “NO”, was the response, at all 20 of my attempts, but my lucky day continued and there was no sign of that green squirt bottle weapon.

After supper I took my first computer and blogging lesson.

susie 035

This is easy. All you have to do is read the book.

susie 036

One more story, and I’ll let you get back to work, or go check your e-mail.  That first night, I gave up on that God Ugly cat bed and found it a snap to slip under the closed doors and join the Happy Campers back in the big bed. Holy Cow, this camper has a whole another room back here, and look at the closet, the whole wall, and mirrored doors to boot.

I inspected the whole room, including under the covers. As Rex was sleeping and Mary was quietly reading her book, I pranced down the bed and suddenly spotted, what I thought was my sister, in the closet. I was so happy to see her I took a flying leap to bump heads with her, say hello, and BAM!!

(note to self: glass mirrors are hard, and I Damn near knocked myself out! Don’t try that again.)

Till next time, when I may reveal my secret Hide-Out.
