BOONVILLE

WRITTEN BY REX
Custom Smiley MARY AND SCROOGE, OLD FRIENDS FROM THE MISS MARQUETTE, GOT A HOLD OF US IN E-MAIL TO EXPLAIN THEY HAD TO CHANGE OUR PLANS TO GET TOGETHER ON SUNDAY DUE TO A FUNERAL AT HOME IN MONONA, SO WE DECIDED TO DRIVE OVER TO BOONVILLE TO MEET THEM AFTER WORK. SCROOGE IS A PIT MANAGER, AND CHAD MOINES IS A SHIFT MANAGER. MARY IS DEALING POKER. SCROOGE COMPED US DINNER TICKETS AND WE HIT THE CASINO BUFFET LINE ON FULL ATTACK! WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR VISIT AND GOT ALL CAUGHT UP ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

IN THE MORNING WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE THE BEST WEATHER DAY OF OUR KANSAS CITY VISIT SO WE HIKED OVER TO A MUSEUM, AND A TOUR OF THE BINGHAM-WAGGONER ESTATE BUILT IN 1852. THE ESTATE TOUR WAS REALLY INTERESTING AS IT WAS JUST MARY AND I AND THE TOUR GUIDE, AND UNLIKE REGULAR OLD HOME TOURS WE WERE LET INTO EVERY ROOM IN THE HOUSE TO WALK AROUND AND LOOK AT THE FURNISHINGS AND PAINTINGS UP CLOSE. WE WERE EVEN IN THE THIRD FLOOR SERVANTS QUARTERS.

WE PAID $1.989 FOR FUEL IN BOONVILLE.
