THE TAVERN IS A LANDMARK IN OUR FAMILY HISTORY AS GRANDPA JOHN ROOMED UPSTAIRS THERE AS A FRESH IMMIGRANT (1921 OR 1923) AND STOOD ON THE STREET TO DO DAY LABOR FOR THE AREA SWISS FARMERS. THE SECOND REASON WE ALWAYS DO THIS TAVERN IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE LIMBURGER CHEESE SANDWICHES ON THE MENU. I SKIPPED THE RAW ONION THIS TIME.
IT TOOK THE REST OF THE EVENING TO BAR HOP OUR WAY BACK TO BRODHEAD, AND WE ENJOYED THE FIRST NIGHT VISIT AND DRUNK....................
