TONOPAH, NEVADA
WE HAVE LEFT THE LOWER DESERT AND ARE DEFINITELY IN THE HIGH DESERT OF NORTHERN NEVADA NOW. WE ARE BOONDOCKING ON A GRAVEL PARKING LOT WITH NO ELECTRIC, WATER, OR SEWER.
ON THE GOOD SIDE, IT'S FREE INSTEAD OF $25. ON THE BAD SIDE IT'S SUPPOSED TO GET DOWN IN THE 30'S TONIGHT AND WITH JUST A BATTERY WE CAN'T RUN THE FURNACE MUCH. HEY MARY, DIGG OUT THE EXTRA BLANKETS!!!
WE'VE GOT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING TO GET TO LAKE TAHOE TO TALK TO HARVEYS CASINO ABOUT GETTING BACK ON THE SCHEDULE. SO WE DIDN'T REALLY GET GOING THIS MORNING UNTIL ABOUT NOON, AND THEN ONLY DROVE 170 MILES TO TONOPAH BEFORE STOPPING FOR THE NIGHT.
A WALK-A-BOUT TOWN IN TONOPAH, AND COOKING GOULASH TO WARM UP THE CAMPER WERE ABOUT THE ONLY ACTIVITIES OF THE DAY.
AHH..... REMEMBER WHEN I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT "SUNNY & 101"?
HOY - HOY - HOY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE NEIL !!!
