Baking In A Real Kitchen

Everyone knows how much I love to cook but actually my first love has always been baking. So when the opportunity presents itself, I bake!

I didn’t really bake anything new just a cheesecake.

This is a Paula Deen recipe…caramel apple cheesecake.   To be honest I didn’t much care for the caramel topping-but the cheesecake was wonderful, really creamy and tasty.  Of course, anything with 2 pounds of cream cheese, 1 pound of sour cream, and 5 eggs should be yummy!

The mixer came back out to help me bake up some cookies.

Here they are, all bagged up to take to work…don’t know why I didn’t take more pictures of them.  I made four kinds, chocolate chip, pumpkin white chocolate, honey ginger snaps, and chocolate crackle.  I am happy to say, everybody at work loved them!!

I had a great time baking but next time I get the opportunity, I am going to make my Grandmother’s famous poppy seed cake…a true family tradition and favorite!!
