ARIZONA VACATION
HEATHER, MARY’S DAUGHTER FROM LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN, AND CREW HAVE BEEN PLANNING AND SAVING FOR AN ARIZONA VACATION FOR MONTHS. DAVE AND MEG, THE DENVER KIDS, DROVE TO “THE MOUNTAIN” TO MEET HEATHER AND FAMILY FOR THE FIRST TIME. HERE WE ARE HANGING OUT AWAITING THEIR ARRIVAL, WHICH HAPPENS TO BE HEATHER’S BIRTHDAY.
AND I FINALLY REMEMBERED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF A DONE BEER CAN CHICKEN.
THE LA CROSSE CREW DROVE STAIGHT THRU, TRAVEL NAZI STYLE, 1,503 MILES IN 24 HOURS. THAT’S FIVE KIDS AND RANDY AND HEATHER. GONNA BE A LITTLE CROWDED AROUND CAMP THIS WEEK. ACTIVITIES INCLUDED A PIZZA PARTY, JENGA, LOT’S OF VISITING, AND LOOKING AT OLD PICTURES.
THE DENVER KIDS HAD TO HEAD BACK ON MONDAY, BUT THEY HAD A DAY AND A HALF TO ENJOY THE LA CROSSE CREW.
A LITTLE FURNITURE REARRANGEMENT AND TWO DOUBLE SIZE AIR MATTRESSES MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE ( 9 OF US) TO FIND A SLEEPING SPOT.
