HAPPY, HAPPY, BIRTHDAY BABY !!!
THIS YEAR MARY IS IN CHARGE OF ALL THE "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" WISHES ON THE BLOG. LAST YEAR, I DID THE HOY !!! HOY !!! HOY !!! THING FOR EVERYBODY, AND NOW IT'S MARY'S TURN TO NOT FORGET ANYBODY.
BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM QUITE RIGHT THAT MARY SHOULD DO A BLOG WISHING HERSELF A HAPPY BIRTHDAY.......
SO....
HAPPY, HAPPY, BIRTHDAY BABY !!!
IT'S BEEN OUR TRADITION TO CELEBRATE MARY'S BIRTHDAY IN VEGAS OVER THE YEARS, AND THIS YEAR IS NO EXCEPTION. ALTHOUGH WE WERE JUST IN VEGAS LAST WEEK-END WE ARE HEADED BACK AGAIN NEXT WEEK-END.
THE BUDGET DOESN'T CALL FOR A VEGAS SHOW, BUT WE WILL GET MARY OUT TO TOWN SQUARE AND TRADER JOE'S FOR A SHOPPING FIX.
INSTEAD OF STAYING AT THE VEGAS CLUB I UPGRADED TO FITZGERALD'S HOTEL. A ROOM AT THE FITZ IS $1 MORE THAN WE PAID LAST WEEK AT THE VEGAS CLUB. SPEAKING OF OUR FAVORITE, VEGAS CLUB, WE NOTICED A FEW CHANGES THERE LAST WEEK. FIRST OF ALL THE $5 PARKING CHARGE IS NO LONGER REFUNDABLE AT THE CAGE. THE SOUTH TOWER WAS CLOSED FOR ELEVATOR MAINTAINCE? OR HAVE THEY SHUT DOWN HALF OF THERE HOTEL ROOMS? INSTEAD OF OUR FAVORITE BARTENDER, NAY, WE HAD SOME GUY THAT COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH, NOT MUCH FUN TO VISIT WITH.
THE PIT ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON ONLY HAD FOUR GAMES OPEN, AND NOBODY WAS PLAYING. WE USUALLY RATE $5-$50 IN FREE SLOT PLAY, BUT WE COULD NO LONGER PLAY OUR FREE PLAY AT THE BAR TOPS WHERE WE LIKE TO SIT. IS IT TIME TO FIND A NEW FAVORITE HOTEL DOWNTOWN ON FREEMONT STREET?
OOPS, A MINI-RANT. BACK TO THE BIRTHDAY GIRL. THIS IS THE BIG ONE FOR MARY AS SHE CROSSES THE DECADE LINE TO 60 YEARS OLD. IS 60 OLD? WILL SHE STILL BE ABLE TO POUND ON A SLOT MACHINE WITH ONE HAND AND DRINK JACK DANIELS WITH THE OTHER HAND AT THE SAME TIME? WILL SHE GIVE UP DANCING ACROSS THE BAR TOP AT HOGS AND HEIFERS?
I DOUBT IT. MARY'S STILL A HAPPY CAMPER, AND ONE OF THE TWO HAPPIEST POOR PEOPLE I'VE EVER KNOWN.
LOOK OUT VEGAS, HERE SHE COMES........
HAPPY, HAPPPY, BIRTHDAY BABY !!!!

You know, a copy of this blog to the marketing folks at the Vegas Club couldn't hurt. I'm sure they wouldn't like loosing customers to the Fitz!!!!
