A DAY OFF
I WONDER HOW MANY OF OUR BLOG ENTRIES START OUT WITH THIS SUBJECT LINE OR THE OPENING SENTENCE? THAT'S THE WAY IT IS WHEN YOU WORK ON THE CLOCK AS AN HOURLY EMPLOYEE. WE MADE GREAT PROGRESS TODAY ON THE "WINTER LIST" , IN FACT THE ONLY REMAINING ITEM IS CARPET CLEANING, SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW, BEFORE A ROAD TRIP TO OATMAN AND GOLDEN SHORES.
WE HAD THE CHANCE TO GO TO COCKTAILS WITH OUR FRIENDS DAWN AND COLE. THEY ARE, LIKE US, A COUPLE OF FULLTIME RV'ERS THAT ARE OUR AGE OR A LITTLE YOUNGER, THAT HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO WORK AND CAMP ALL THE TIME. THEY MAKE THEIR LIVING X-RAYING PIPES FOR UTILITY COMPANIES. THEY JUST CAME OFF A JOB THAT TOOK 8 MONTHS IN VIRGINA. WE MET THEM THE FIRST YEAR WE WERE HERE AT BLACKSTONE RV PARK BECAUSE THEY HAD A PACKER STICKER ON THE FRONT OF THEIR CAMPER. IN OUR LIFE STYLE WE HAVE FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER WITH A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS.
WE FIRED UP THE BIGG ASS GRILL FOR GRILLED PIZZA AND MARY MADE CREPES FOR DESERT.
TILL TOMORROW..............

This is really cool. And my big congratulations to Mary for quitting the cigarettes!! Don't suppose Rex quit too? Just think, double that money. And maybe you can travel 40 weeks and work 12? LOL.
I'm not sure Teresa has time to keep hers up, she's a busy woman you know. Still in that vehicle everyday hitting the road for somewhere. But I think I've figured out why that is. You see she never would go to sleep at night so we would put her in the car and drive around town, listening to golden oldies of course, and when she nodded off, we'd go home and carry her up to bed. So it was instilled in her at any early age.
