WHAT’S UP?
WITH THE FOOTBALL@65 STORY TAKING OVER THE BLOG I HAVEN’T WRITTEN FOR AWHILE. NORMALLY IN THE LAST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER WE’RE GETTING READY FOR OUR OCTOBER TRAVELS. THE LAST FEW YEARS THAT’S BEEN A MONTH ON THE BEACH AT SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS.
WE ARE GOING TO SKIP THE ISLAND THIS YEAR, AND SPEND OCTOBER ON THE MOUNTAIN. AT LEAST THAT’S THE PLAN. THE LAST TWO MORNINGS THE TEMPERATURE HAS BEEN IN THE MID-30’S. MR HEATER HAS TAKEN UP IT’S PLACE IN THE LIVING ROOM AND WE HAVE IT HOOKED UP TO A 30 POUND LP TANK.
TODAY IS AMY’S BIRTHDAY, OF COURSE SHE’S IN PERFECT HAWIIAN WEATHER…….
YESTERDAY I COOKED DOWN A PAN FULL OF THE GREEN ZEBRA TOMATOES AND MADE PIZZA SAUCE WHICH WE COOKED OUTSIDE ON THE DEVIL’S EGG DURING THE PACKER GAME (WHERE THE WEATHER WAS “SUNNY & 90”).
WE KEEP BUSY GETTING OUR 10,000 STEPS EVERYDAY, STOPPING BY THE MOOSE LODGE FOR BEERS AND WHISKEY, TAKING CARE OF THE YARD PLANTS, AND JUST ENJOYING LIFE!
